BLACK BOUGH PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS
ACHILLES IN ARCADIA
Achilles in Arcadia is a lyrical, character-driven play set in a quiet Chinese restaurant in Arcadia, California. Written by Chris Collins, this intimate drama explores the emotional terrain of legacy, grief, cultural identity, and what it means to be a family on the brink.
At the center is George, a wounded ex-soldier turned aspiring filmmaker, who gathers his sister and friends for late-night rehearsals of a student film. But as they prepare for the shoot, buried tensions, long-held resentments, and secrets about their late mother’s will begin to surface. What starts as a creative collaboration spirals into a poetic reckoning with the past — and with each other.
Infused with mythological undertones and dark humor, Achilles in Arcadia examines whether art can heal… or if it merely masks deeper wounds.
Showing exclusively at the Skylight Theatre in Los Feliz, Los Angeles
